Creative Women’s Portraits from a Texas Photography Retreat

Marble Falls, Texas - The retreat Ranch

Created at The Retreat Ranch during the fall 2025 Beyond Brilliant Retreat, this collection celebrates the rhythm of women creating art together under the Texas sun.

Photographers, models, artists, and visionaries moved as one with dust in the light, laughter in the air, creativity in every direction. This retreat was aptly named, “Brilliant”!

Mid-week, we photographed representatives of the Texas Native American Cultural Center and Austin Pow Wow. Nan & Cody Blassingame, Skye Howell, Raven Price-Smith, and Maxochitl Cortez shared dances, stories, and the handcrafted regalia from their tribes, including the Nottawaseppi Huron Band, Grand River Band Ottowa, Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma, Mandan, Hidatsa, Arikara Nation, Chichimeca, and Coghuiltecan peoples.

This very special destination portrait photography series is a fabulous reminder of what happens when authenticity and artistry collide.
